Project Overview
Local economic activities in Central and East Java was concentrated in Yogyakarta and its surrounding area and Malang and its surrounding area. On the other hand, Yogyakarta – Malang as a growth pole in Center and East of Java hasn’t spread the trickle-down effect to its surrounding area in the south like Tulungagung – Trenggalek – Prigi – Ponorogo. Economic growth and activities in Yogyakarta – Malang strategic development area were still left behind compared to Big Cities in the North-South corridor or West-East corridor. PUPR infrastructure development in Yogyakarta – Malang corridor aimed to increase economic growth in surrounding Regency.
