Project Overview
The geopark information center building in Sekoyang features the beach-based geological site at Pulau Laut Island, Kotabaru Regency, facing the Kalimantan Straits. The geological heritage in the area is the existence of Flintstone derived from uplifted ophiolite rocks. The building is expected to serve as a center for public education, recreation, and the economic development support of the surrounding community. The form of the building reflects the waveform and Dayak Shield’s derived from the icon of Kotabaru Regency, where the geosite is located.
