Project Overview

NUA Team Members won 1st prize in the “Jakarta Slum Revitalization Planning” Competition. The team initiated the idea of building a vertical kampung by promoting ecological design and community-based collaborative design. The vertical approach was to respond to the limitation of the area since there was more than 1.000 household to resettle. An ecological design approach promoted a water-sensitive design, environmentally friendly, and micro-climate control. The collaborative-based community housing was also intended to enhance social interaction and achieve common welfare.
